If you are using a TiVo EDGE, TiVo BOLT, Roamio Series DVR, or Premiere Series DVR, you should use the OnePass feature instead of the older Season Pass feature described in this article.
Here are some reasons you might want to replace an existing Season Pass with a new one for the same show:

You just replaced your old standard definition TV with a new HDTV and you now want to record the HD version of the show, which is on a different channel.

Your cable provider just changed the format of a channel from analog to digital and your old Season Pass no longer records the show. (If this is the case, make sure you replace the Season Pass after you install CableCARD(s) or connect a digital cable box and repeat Guided Setup.
To replace the existing Season Pass

Access the Season Pass Manager. For Series3 and earlier DVRs: from TiVo Central go to > Find Programs > Season Pass Manager.

Make a note of the Season Pass you want to change and its priority in the Season Pass Manager.

Delete the Season Pass and create it again.

The new Season Pass will appear at the bottom of the Season Pass Manager list. Use the Up/Down Arrows next to each Season Pass to give it the recording priority you want.
If you have a Series2 Dual Tuner DVR, and your cable provider has switched some channels from analog to digital, keep in mind that your DVR can record one digital and one analog channel at a time, or two analog channels at a time. If two Season Pass recordings for the same time period were previously on analog channels and are now on digital channels, only one can be recorded during that time. Use View Upcoming Episodes on the Record Season Pass screen to choose a different time period for one of the Season Pass recordings.
