TiVo Suggestions is compatible with the following devices on TiVo Experience 3:
How is this magic possible?
TiVo Suggestions are personalized shows selected to match your preferences. As you watch shows and other content, your TiVo device uses the information to automatically record shows that may be of interest to you.
With TiVo Experience 3, any time you watch live TV or recorded programs, or browse programs with the Guide, you can rate each show by pressing the Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down button while the show is selected. You can give a program up to three thumbs up or down.
At first, TiVo may suggest a seemingly random set of shows. Over time, the more shows you rate with your THUMBS buttons, the better TiVo Suggestions will be at finding programs you like.
When the DVR has empty space, it will automatically record TiVo Suggestions. This is an excellent way for you to discover new shows that might interest you. You can find recorded TiVo Suggestions at the bottom of the TiVo Recordings list below the recordings you requested. Suggestions will have a TiVo icon next to them and will be stored in a TiVo Suggestions folder if Groups are enabled.
TiVo Suggestions never replace shows you request or prevent them from being recorded. TiVo Suggestions are always the first programs deleted to make room for recordings you request.
How do I find my recorded TiVo Suggestions?
Press the TiVo button on the remote to go to TiVo Central and select Now Playing List or My Shows. TiVo suggestions have a round TiVo icon next to them. If you have folders turned on, all your suggestions will appear in the TiVo Suggestions folder.
How do I turn TiVo Suggestions on or off?

To turn off/on TiVo Suggestions, from TiVo Central:

for TiVo BOLT and TiVo Roamio - go to Settings & Messages > User Preferences > TiVo Suggestions

for TiVo Premiere - go to Settings & Messages > Settings > Recording > TiVo Suggestions

for Series 3 & earlier - go to Find Programs > TiVo Suggestions

Highlight Yes to record TiVo Suggestions, or No to turn them off, and then press Select.
How do I get accurate TiVo Suggestions?

As you rate more programs with Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down, TiVo Suggestions will get better at finding programs that you might like.

If some TiVo Suggestions do not reflect your preferences, it is possible that other members of your household are pressing Thumbs Up on shows you do not care for, and vice versa. If this is the case, you may find that your TiVo DVR is recording some TiVo Suggestions that you like, and some that are more appropriate for other family members.

If you still are not satisfied with TiVo Suggestions after several weeks, try using more Thumbs Up. Give two or three Thumbs Up to your favorite shows, rather than just one. In addition, you should avoid giving any program three Thumbs Down unless you do not like the entire genre. For example, if you give three Thumbs Down to several movies, your DVR will be less likely to suggest other movies
How do I review and edit Thumb Ratings or see a list of my TiVo Suggestions?
This option is available only on HD TiVo DVRs (TiVo Experience 3).
To review or edit your Thumb Ratings:
For TiVo BOLT, TiVo Roamio, and TiVo Premiere HD:
You can adjust the thumb ratings of your shows by finding the individual show in My Shows, Search, To Do List, Guide, One Pass Manager, or anywhere else the show listing appears.
For Series 3:

Navigate from TiVo Central > Find Programs > TiVo Suggestions

Press Enter to see a list of all shows and your ratings for them. (Remember, Enter is the button in the lower right of your remote, under the number 9.)
To reset Thumb Ratings:

Press Select or OK on your remote.

As a safety measure, you will be asked to press the Thumbs Down button three times and then press Enter to proceed. After the Thumb Ratings have been reset, it may take a few days for the DVR to learn your preferences again and begin suggesting programs to record. Remember to use the Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down buttons to rate programs.
This option does not appear on TiVo Experience 4 as it does not use Thumbs ratings to provide you with TiVo Suggestions.
TiVo Suggestions are on but not being recorded
Suggestions will not record if your DVR is always busy recording programs you have requested. To see what your DVR is scheduled to record, go to:

Troubleshooting
It is very rare for Suggestions not to record if they have been enabled. If your DVR is not recording Suggestions even while the DVR is free to record, perform the following steps:

Turn automatic recording of TiVo Suggestions off.

Turn automatic recording of TiVo Suggestions back on.

Restart the DVR. TiVo Suggestions should begin recording. However, TiVo Suggestions can take up to 24 hours to begin recording.
If you have a tuning adapter, follow the steps in Tuning Adapter: Troubleshooting. If that does not resolve the issue, your tuning adapter might not allow TiVo suggestions to record because of settings determined by your cable provider.
