Overview
OnePass (which replaces the Season Pass feature) pulls and organizes content from all of your available sources, including television and Video-On-Demand apps, into your My Shows folder. It is compatible with TiVo Premiere Series or later DVRs. If you have a Series 3 or earlier DVR, you will continue to use the Season Pass feature as before. Outlined below are the major differences between OnePass and the existing Season Pass.
If you currently own a TiVo Series 3 and want to upgrade to a TiVo BOLT or TiVo EDGE, you can migrate your existing Season Passes to your new TiVo BOLT or TiVo EDGE, where they will become OnePasses.
Additional recording options
OnePass keeps all of the recording options from Season Pass and introduces some new options that make recording the shows you want even easier:
-
Include
Choose between Recordings & streaming videos, Recordings only, or Streaming videos only.
-
Start from
Options include First available season or New episodes only. You can also choose to start recording at any season number (in case you already have the first two season of your favorite show on DVD). News programs and some other shows will display a year number instead of a season number but the Start From option still works the same way.
-
Rent or buy
Tell the TiVo device if you want to see purchasable streaming content. Choose between Include and Don't Include. This option won't be available on a Recording only OnePass.
-
Get in HD
HD programs are much sharper looking but take up more recording space. Choose to in HD Always, If possible, or Never. With If possible, the DVR will prioritize HD recordings over SD recordings. This option is only available when the Channel option is set to All Channels.
TiVo has always used graphic icons to give you information about content at a glance. OnePass introduces some new icons which will tell you more about listed programs than ever!

Did it bother you when you chose a show on your DVR only to be taken to the Netflix menu to find the show again? Not only will OnePass pull in suggestions from all of your VOD apps it skips the user interface of VOD apps as well. Just choose the show on your TiVo device, press Play, and start watching.
Only OnePass per show
With Season Pass, you sometimes needed to set up multiple Passes for one show to catch any special episodes. Not any more.
OnePass lives up to its name you'll never need to create multiple passes for the same show again.
Standalone streaming videos
This separate feature allows you to quickly request streaming content for a single episode or season of a show, a movie, or a soon-to-be-released show. These shows will NOT be recorded and thus won't take up space on your DVR.
If your streaming request is not currently available from any of your providers, it will appear in your My Shows list at the bottom of the All category in the Not Currently Available folder. When your show becomes available, it will be moved to the Streaming Movies folder within My Shows.

Below the Watch Now Strip is the OnePass & Recording Options Strip where user can record the episode or create OnePass.
