It’s not fast-forward, it’s QuickMode! The QuickMode feature lets you speed through a show 30% faster, while also letting you hear what everyone is saying – no chipmunks allowed. With QuickMode, you get the speed of fast-forward, without missing any of the details. QuickMode is available while you’re watching a recorded show, or if you’re “behind” live TV (for instance, if you have rewound a show that’s airing live).

 

Compatibility

 

  • This feature is available on any TiVo DVR using the new TiVo experience.

  • This feature is available on any TiVo Mini (connected to a TiVo DVR using the new TiVo experience).

Here's how to use it:

 
  1. While watching a show, press the PLAY button on your remote to bring up the status bar.
  2. Press OK to start QuickMode.
  3. When you’re finished watching in QuickMode, press OK again to resume watching at normal speed.
