Starting with the Roamio series, TiVo DVRs feature built-in WiFi capabilities (See Roamio Built-In Wireless: FAQ for details). They do not support external wireless adapters. For Premiere and earlier models, see which wireless adapters are compatible with your DVR.
HD TiVo DVR - Wireless Adapters
For TiVo Premiere Series and TiVo Series3 DVRs
To get the most from your Whole Home experience with a Premiere Series or Series3 DVR, TiVo recommends a wired Ethernet or MoCA connection to the DVR.
If your home network setup requires that you connect your Premiere or Series3 to WiFi, you need a TiVo Wireless N or TiVo Wireless G adapter. TiVo no longer manufactures these adapters, but you can check them out at Weakness or Best Buy.
Use of any wireless adapter other than TiVo's is not supported and results may vary.

In order to use a peer-to-peer wireless network with 802.11g adapters, you must have the latest version of TiVo software. Only WEP encryption is supported for peer-to-peer connections.
