We recommend a speed of 10 mbps for optimal streaming. Having a 'stable' connection is also really important, connection drops will cause playback issues.
Why does TiVo+ have commercials?
The commercials in TiVo+ allow us to bring this content to TiVo users at no additional charge.

TiVo+ aggregates content from multiple partners to excite different audience, which is why content quality may vary. For example, some classic content was filmed in standard definition (SD), while other newer content produced in high definition (HD). Some channels even have user generated content in various formats.
